Care instructions for hair extensions and hair extensions
Hair extensions require more care than your own hair. Your real hair receives nourishment from the roots, which extensions do not. Therefore, it is important to take care of your extensions and use moisturizing products to prevent them from becoming dry, frizzy, or losing their shine.
General tips
- Do not wash hair for at least 48 hours after insertion.
- Keep your hair braided while you sleep or exercise. Also remember to sleep in dry hair, it wears a lot on the hair if it is wet.
- Sort and brush your hair morning, evening and before showering. Brush from the bottom up to lighten tangles most easily.
- Use moisturizing products intended for hair extensions (preferably our own shampoo and conditioner ).
- At the slightest wear, let the hair air dry as often as possible.
- Avoid salt water and chlorinated water.
- Feel free to use hair wraps and hair oil (preferably our own hair wrap and hair oil ) but avoid getting these on the mounts.
- It should be remembered that a hair extension requires more care than regular hair. It is not more advanced but one should spend more time on the hair to keep it nice and shiny.
- THINK ABOUT! The more hair extensions you put in, the more difficult it will be to take care of them. We recommend 1-2 packs if you are new to hair extensions or want more easy-care hair and 2-3 packs if you are more experienced and ready to spend more time on it.
Care of real hair extensions
When washing the hair
- Do not use shampoo for oily hair, use shampoo for dry hair instead.
- The shampoo should not contain alcohol or sulfates.
- Wash your hair with lukewarm water and a moisturizing shampoo. Do not rub the hair, but massage in downward movements.
- Wash your hair as rarely as possible to avoid unnecessary wear and tear, preferably no more than 1-2 times a week.
- Follow up by using moisturizing conditioner and preferably a wrap (before conditioner).
- Gently squeeze the hair out of water and gently flatten/iron the hair with a towel, do not rub the hair dry in the towel.
- Please let the hair air dry for minimum wear.
- Then you can flatten, curl and style your hair as you wish! Feel free to use heat protection in your hair when heat styling and remember to keep the hairdryer 30 cm from your hair so as not to damage the attachments.
Dyeing/bleaching the hair
- As the hair is already colored in the factory, we do not recommend that you dye it again, nor that you bleach it. The result can always vary when you dye or bleach already dyed hair, we therefore also do not recommend color bombs or the like as the result may be different from what you want. All coloring is therefore done at your own risk.
- This also applies to bleaching, silver shampoo, color bombs, etc.
Care of nail hair
- When using nail hair extensions, remember not to have heat too close to the attachments. For example, a long time in direct sunlight, heat from a hair dryer or hot water can melt or loosen the fasteners. The same applies to hair products at the attachments.
- Brush and detangle your hair with your fingers both in the lengths and at the ends daily to keep them from tangling.
Care of tape hair
- The tape is sensitive to heat and hair products so avoid this near the attachments.
- Brush your hair often and detangle any tangles.
- When the hair is wet, the tape can be more porous so it is important to be careful when brushing wet hair.

Care of loop hair - ring hair
- Avoid heat and hair products near the attachments as this can loosen the wax that the metal eyelet sits in.
Hair bridle care
- Depending on the choice of attachment method, care advice applies to clip-on, ring hair or nail hair.
Care of nano hair
- Avoid heat and hair products near the attachments as this can loosen the wax that the metal eyelet sits in.
Care of clip-on
- Take your hair out when exercising, showering and sleeping.
- Comb through it daily and untangle any tangles.
- Make sure your hair is brushed when you store it.
- You can style your hair just as usual and you wash it by hand in lukewarm water with shampoo and conditioner intended for hair extensions, but we recommend that you wash your hair as infrequently as possible. It is good to air the hair instead of washing it to keep it fresh.
